India’s era is over, Pakistan plays an important role in South Asia and the Middle East for America, The Diplomat
Staff Reporter, Daily Dawn, Dawn TV Report
London: Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy and effective military diplomacy have become a harbinger of successes on the global horizon. A report by the international journal The Diplomat on Pakistan’s growing importance in the global scenario has come to light.
According to the international journal The Diplomat and Daily Dawn, London, there has been a change in American priorities, and its inclination is clear towards Pakistan instead of India. Pakistan plays an important role in South Asia and the Middle East for America. The recent Pakistan-India conflict has also completely changed America’s estimates regarding military power.
The Diplomat wrote that in view of the changing circumstances, it seems difficult for India to play the role of a net security provider. The convergence of common interests has further improved with the development of US-Pakistan relations. The US no longer sees India as an alternative partner in South Asia. The change in US priorities is a cause of concern for India.
Dawn London wrote that India was among the US priorities for the past several years, but now that era is over. Pakistan has been showing willingness to improve relations with India. According to Pakistan, India’s response to peace offers has always increased tensions. India has increased covert intervention in Balochistan and launched a targeted killing campaign in Balochistan.
According to the journal, the Pakistan-India conflict in May 2025 increased the fears of a nuclear conflict, but the US played a role in the Pakistan-India ceasefire. India’s continued refusal to negotiate is creating permanent uncertainty and deterioration in relations with the US.
