Islamabad: Rulers devoid of reason have put the future of students at stake. Pakistan Medical Council’s new policy: Degrees of students who obtained degrees from China and Europe will not be accepted. More than 50,000 Pakistani students are studying medicine in different countries of the world. Most Pakistani students turn to China and Central Asian states to pursue medical education

A notice issued by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has become the reason for blurring this dream.

This sudden policy change has thrown thousands of students and their families into uncertainty, who have already invested a lot of money and time in their education.
How will the new policy affect thousands of students?
The latest decision of the PMDC issued from Islamabad has thrown thousands of Pakistani students into a vortex of uncertainty.
According to a public notice issued on September 8 this year, now only those graduates will be able to get house jobs or provisional registration in Pakistan who have studied from PMDC-recognized institutions.
With this announcement, the list of foreign institutions that was previously available on the PMDC website has been removed.
After this sudden decision, the most affected students are those who are currently studying in China, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and various countries of Eastern Europe.
When these youths entered the universities of these countries, the names of those institutions were included in the PMDC list. Now, the sudden elimination of that list has become a source of uncertainty and disappointment for those students.
