Sahiwal: Providing a clean environment and other facilities to citizens is one of WASA’s top priorities. Citizens should contact WASA office immediately for any problems they are facing so that their complaints can be redressed immediately. This was said by MD WASA Tanveer Qaiser Sindhu while talking to the most widely published and Newspaper of the Year from Britain, Nawa-e-Waqt London, English newspaper Daily Dawn London, OK TV and Dawn TV UK. He said that WASA is using all resources to solve public problems. The garbage collected from the city is monitored by CCTV cameras. WASA will be responsible for de-silting underground sewer lines, open sewer channels and open sewer drains within the limits of the Municipal Corporation of Sahiwal. The Irrigation Department is responsible for cleaning the main irrigation drains, and manhole covers provided by PSAP and MC Sahiwal are being placed on all the manholes in the city. He further said that no compromise will be made in the provision of clean water to the citizens and sewer lines are being laid in the city soon, which will solve the long-standing problems of the city on a priority basis.
