In the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting, the Indian Cricket Board kept insisting on getting the trophy. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi made it clear that now, if you want the trophy, Suryakumar Yadav should come to the ACC office and get it from me.

According to the details, the Pakistan and Indian Cricket Boards came face to face in the Asian Cricket Council meeting in Dubai.

According to sources, in the meeting, BCCI senior official Rajiv Shukla repeatedly insisted on the Asia Cup trophy, to which Chairman PCB and President Asian Cricket Council Mohsin Naqvi said that this matter was not included in the agenda of the meeting.

However, the Indian Cricket Board continued to insist, to which they were replied that after the final, ACC President Mohsin Naqvi was present on the stage to present the trophy, the Indian cricket team refused to accept the trophy.

Mohsin Naqvi made it clear that now, if India wants the trophy, they can come to the Asian Cricket Council office and get it from me, or hold a ceremony and receive it from the ACC President.

When the heat increased during the meeting, the ACC, PCB, BCCI, Sri Lankan Board and Afghan Board were given a joint task to resolve the matter.

The meeting condemned the Indian team’s no handshake and Suryakumar Yadav’s political statements.

According to sources, it was also decided to hold the next Asia Cup in Bangladesh in 2027.

It should be noted that during the Asia Cup 2025, played in the United Arab Emirates, Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav violated the sportsman spirit by not shaking hands with the captain and then the national team during the match against Pakistan.

Not only this, during the press conference after the match, the Indian team captain brought politics into cricket by mentioning the Pahalgam incident and then did not stop his actions even after winning the final, refusing to accept the trophy from Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi.

Even the former captains and players of the Indian team did not remain silent on these actions of the Indian team; they criticized the Indian team and the cricket board itself.

Former captain Kapil Dev said that when the government permits play, shaking hands is not a big deal; the game should be kept separate from politics.

Former Indian player and head coach Ravi Shastri was also shocked by the Indian team’s outrageous behavior. He said that after the Asia Cup final, you kept on acting for 45 minutes for the closing ceremony. The fans kept waiting, but you remained stubborn. This behavior of the Indian team is disgusting.
