Gilgit: Firing on vehicles of a prominent religious scholar and a High Court judge, 5 injured

Gilgit: Unknown terrorists fired on the vehicles of a prominent religious scholar and High Court judge in two separate incidents, resulting in 5 injuries.

Gilgit-Baltistan Home Minister Shams Lone said that a total of 5 people, including prominent religious scholar Maulana Qazi Nisar Ahmed, his driver and guard, were injured in the firing by unknown terrorists in front of the police headquarters, but the condition of all the injured is satisfactory.

The Home Minister said that the second incident took place in the afternoon near the City Hospital, where unknown terrorists fired on the vehicle of senior High Court judge Malik Inayat-ur-Rehman, but he miraculously survived.

He made it clear that no one will be allowed to play with the peace of the area and the terrorists will be crushed, while conspirators destroying the harmony of the area will be made an example of.

On the other hand, provincial government spokesman Faizullah Faraq said that the vehicle of the preacher of the central Jamia Masjid Ahle Sunnah, Maulana Qazi Nisar Ahmed, was fired upon when his vehicle was passing in front of the Central Police Office.

As a result of the attack, Maulana Qazi Nisar Ahmed, his two security guards and driver were injured. All the injured are out of danger, and four have sustained minor injuries and are receiving medical treatment at the city hospital.

He expressed ignorance about the attackers being caught in their injured condition.

Meanwhile, panic spread in Gilgit city after the firing incidents and all the markets and shops in the city were closed, leaving the roads deserted and deserted.
