A sad incident at a private clinic on the road behind Fateh Sher police station. Government employee Azhar Shah brought his wife to Hajran Hospital for a delivery case. The hospital owner, Dr. Asma, operated herself in the absence of the surgeon. The patient’s condition became critical due to heavy bleeding during the operation.
The patient died due to a lack of timely medical assistance. The doctor allegedly referred her to a dead body at Civil Hospital to hide the death.
Doctors at Sahiwal Civil Hospital declared the patient dead upon arrival. Locals and relatives protested against the doctor’s incompetence. Protesting citizens said that private hospitals are playing with human lives. The relatives strongly appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Commissioner Sahiwal and CO Health to take strong action against the doctor’s incompetence and provide immediate justice and demanded immediate notice.
