Lahore: Punjab Lok Raj Party (PLRP) Chairman Engineer Ilyas Ghuman, General Secretary Engineer Ijaz Ahmed Zia, and the Cabinet and Central Executive Committee have strongly condemned the ongoing American and Israeli attacks on Iran in a joint statement and said that this war is not of equals but of two superpowers. A superpower is oppressing a Muslim country; our hearts are with the oppressed people of Iran, and we express complete solidarity with them.
He said that in these attacks that have been ongoing since February 28, 790 innocent civilians have been martyred and 750 injured, more than 1000 places have been bombed, including hospitals, schools, and residential areas. This atrocity is a crime against humanity, and the international community should not remain silent.
The Punjab Lok Raj Party leadership said that this conflict is no longer limited to Iran but has affected the entire world, Qatar’s LNG production has stopped, gas prices in Europe have increased by 50 percent, the Strait of Hormuz has been closed, through which 20 percent of the world’s oil passes, Dubai Airport has been closed for several days, more than 150 oil tankers are stranded and this fire has spread to Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
He said that the Punjab Lok Raj Party demands that the bombing of hospitals, schools, and homes be stopped, food and medicines be delivered to the affected people, and that problems be resolved through dialogue, not war.
