London: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Hussain is critically ill and admitted to a London hospital, where he underwent various tests.
Altaf Hussain is the founder of MQM, which was earlier known as the Muhajir Qaumi Movement. He started a political party to represent Urdu speakers. Altaf Hussain currently lives in London, where he has been in self-imposed exile since 1992. Later, he was granted British citizenship. From London, Altaf Hussain played an active role in politics, regularly addressing his workers in Karachi.
London-based senior MQM leader Mustafa Azizabadi said on social networking website X that ‘MQM founder and leader Altaf Hussain has been admitted to a London hospital due to a serious illness, where he has undergone various tests.’
He appealed to the public to pray for the recovery of the MQM founder.
Meanwhile, in a video message, he said that Altaf Hussain’s condition deteriorated last night and he was admitted to the hospital on the advice and examination of the doctor. The doctors conducted various tests.
