Dubai: The PCB’s position on the Indian captain’s political statement after the Pak-India clash in the Asia Cup 2025 was accepted. The ICC reprimanded Suryakumar Yadav and instructed him not to make political statements in the future.

ICC officials listened to Suryakumar Yadav’s entire conversation after the Pakistan Cricket Board’s complaint and concluded that the code of conduct was violated.

The match referee and ICC officials had summoned Surya Kumar Yadav. Today, the ICC held a hearing on the matter at a local hotel in Dubai, in which Pakistan’s point of view was put forward, and he was asked to explain his statement.

The ICC reprimanded Indian batsman Surya Kumar Yadav for making political statements and warned him to refrain from making such statements in the future.

The PCB had taken the position that the ICC should take formal action because the code of conduct had been violated. Just as Moeen Ali or Usman Khawaja are not allowed to speak on the issue of Palestine at all, but action has also been taken against them, similarly, action should be taken against the Indian captain.

In this regard, it also used its influence in the presence of former Indian Cricket Board chief and current ICC chairman Jay Shah.

It may be recalled that during the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates on September 14, during the Pak-India clash, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav not only violated the sportsman spirit by not shaking hands with the Pakistani captain and players, but also made political statements after the victory.

During the post-match press conference, Suryakumar Yadav dedicated his victory against Pakistan to the families of the victims of the Pahalgam incident.

It may be recalled that 24 people were killed in the false flag operation in April in the tourist resort of Pahalgam in occupied Kashmir, after which India had leveled allegations against Pakistan without any investigation, which it could not prove to date.

On the other hand, after reprimanding Suryakumar Yadav, the ICC has also summoned Pakistani players tomorrow on the complaint of the Indian Cricket Board. The international body has summoned Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan tomorrow.

The ICC has asked both players to explain their actions on the ground during the match against India.

It may be recalled that during the match against India, Sahibzada Farhan celebrated by turning his bat into a rifle after scoring a half-century, while Haris Rauf made a plane crash scene with his hand when Indian fans made inappropriate noises on the boundary line while fielding.
