London: There has been a significant increase in petrol theft incidents in Britain after the Middle East war.
According to reports, data from PayMyFuel, a company that collects money from petrol thieves, has shown that petrol theft incidents have increased by about 62 percent across the country.
These figures have come out at a time when not only is the financial pressure on the public increasing due to rising petrol prices, but incidents of abuse of staff working at petrol pumps are also increasing.
According to the report, fuel prices increased after the attack on Iran, as a result of which an average family has to pay about 14 pounds extra to fill up their car with petrol, while the costs of diesel vehicle owners have increased by more than 27 pounds.
The British government has expressed concern over this situation and said that strict action will be taken against those who steal petrol, according to the law.
According to Mr. Josh, the owner of several petrol pumps in southern England, such incidents used to happen once or twice a week, but now this number has increased to about five times. He says that some people are getting the impression that taking petrol without paying is becoming the norm.
He added that due to this type of theft, they have to bear financial losses of about two thousand pounds every week.
According to experts, if the increase in fuel prices continues in this way, such crimes may increase further, which will not only affect business but may also increase social problems.
