London: Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Jammu and Kashmir are on a visit to the UK to draw the international community’s attention to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
The delegation has also held important meetings with UK MPs, prominent figures of the Kashmiri community, and representatives of civil society and human rights organizations.
The delegation’s visit is also aimed at highlighting the atrocities committed by Indian forces in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
A press conference was held at the Pakistan High Commission in London under the leadership of the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Jammu and Kashmir Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, along with Committee members Riaz Khan Fatiana and Malik Anwar Taj.
Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon said that through the mediation of the Pakistan High Commission, we had detailed discussions with the British MPs regarding the Kashmir issue.
The Kashmir issue is also of significant importance in the current context of Pakistan-India.
Pakistan will continue to provide political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris.
Pakistan condemns all forms of terrorism indiscriminately and clearly.
Pakistan has always been a frontline country in the fight against terrorism globally.
Immediately after the Pahalgam incident, India leveled baseless allegations against Pakistan without any investigation or evidence.
As a responsible state, Pakistan offered to join any impartial, transparent and credible international investigation to find out the facts of the incident.
On the contrary, India adopted a highly irresponsible and provocative attitude by politicizing the incident and misusing the state media.
India itself has a record of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan.
The Indian-sponsored attack on the Jaffer Express by the BLA is a clear example of this.
The unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty by the Modi government is a clear violation of international law.
Pakistan calls on the international community to hold India accountable.
The international community should condemn the human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and support the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination.
