Italy has created a new chapter in cricket history by qualifying for the 2026 T20 World Cup for the first time

The Hague: Italy has created history by qualifying for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup.

The Italian team had to face defeat in the match against the Netherlands played in The Hague, Netherlands, but despite this, they managed to reach the World Cup to be held next year on the basis of a better net run rate.
For the first time in cricket history, Italy has qualified for the World Cup.
The Netherlands, which easily achieved Italy’s target of 135 runs, has also qualified for this event.
On the other hand, Scotland, which participated in the last four editions of the World Cup, has been eliminated from the tournament after losing to Jersey on the last ball.
Interestingly, Jersey won by one wicket but was also eliminated from the tournament after the Netherlands defeated Italy.
