Sahiwal: Professor Dr. Muhammad Hassan Bucha, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sahiwal, has stated that all available resources will be utilized to ensure quality education. “I recently assumed the role of Vice-Chancellor at Sahiwal University, and in my capacity as the principal administrative and academic officer, I have already taken concrete steps,” he said. He expressed these views during exclusive interviews with *Nawa-i-Waqt*London)—a UK-based, award-winning ‘Newspaper of the Year’—as well as the English daily *Dawn* (London), OK TV, and Dawn TV. He emphasized his commitment to high-quality education and outlined plans for a mix of long-term and short-term courses. He aims to improve the university’s system by integrating digital facilities and leveraging collaborations with foreign universities. He further noted that, given the current era of digital media, one of his first decisions upon taking office was to appoint a Public Relations Officer. I have ordered the acceleration of ongoing classroom construction, which will allow classes to conclude by 5:00 or 6:00 PM. I will place special emphasis on various areas, including university advancement, modern technology, professional skills, entrepreneurship, and community development. He expressed his interest in establishing a modern, state-of-the-art Center for Skills Development at the University of Sahiwal. The proposed center aims to provide students and other beneficiaries with practical, industry-oriented training in key contemporary and emerging technologies—such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, digital marketing, e-commerce, blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), web development, entrepreneurship, and business startups.
