Paris: The French government has announced a ban on smoking in beaches, parks, gardens, and bus shelters from Sunday.
The decree was published in the Official Gazette on Saturday, under which smoking will also be prohibited outside libraries, swimming pools and schools.
The aim of this ban imposed by the French government is to protect children from the harmful effects of smoking.
However, the official decree did not mention electronic cigarettes, while those who violate the ban will be fined 135 euros (approximately Rs. 44,849).
