Lahore: The Lahore High Court has declared null and void the notification of dismissal of protesting doctors. It has ordered the immediate reinstatement of the striking doctors.

The contempt of court case against protesting doctors over the closure of hospitals in Lahore, the capital of Punjab province, was heard in the Lahore High Court, with Justice Sajid Mahmood Sethi hearing the case.

The Supreme Court has declared null and void the notification of dismissal of the doctors and has directed the immediate reinstatement of the doctors.

The Lahore High Court has rejected the request of the lawyer of the Punjab Health Department to take fresh action against the doctors.

It should be remembered that young doctors have been protesting in favor of their demands before, during which doctors also withdraw from treating patients in the outdoor patient (OPD), and do not provide services even in emergencies during the boycott.

The Punjab government had issued a notification to dismiss the protesting doctors due to this behavior, however, today the Lahore High Court has declared this notification null and void and reinstated the dismissed doctors.
