Washington: US President Donald Trump, while hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has indicated progress in the controversial plan to expel Palestinians from Gaza, saying that we have received excellent cooperation from all countries around, everyone has cooperated, so something good is going to happen, Trump also hinted at lifting sanctions on Iran at the appropriate time.
According to the British news agency Reuters, at the beginning of a dinner between American and Israeli officials at the White House, Benjamin Netanyahu told reporters that the United States and Israel are working with other countries that want to give the Palestinians a better future, hinting at the possibility that Gaza residents could be transferred to neighboring countries.
Netanyahu said, “If people want to stay here, they can stay, but if they want to leave, they should be allowed to leave.”
He added, “We are working closely with the United States to find countries that have always talked about giving the Palestinians a better future. I think we have reached out to several such countries.”
Trump initially remained silent on Netanyahu’s statements, but later said that neighboring countries were cooperating.
“We’ve had wonderful cooperation from all the countries around us, everyone has cooperated, so something good is going to happen,” Trump said.
