Islamabad: An Order to block channels of 27 well-known YouTubers, including Matiullah Jan, Asad Toor, Siddique Jan, Oriya Maqbool Jan
FIA started an inquiry on June 2 regarding anti-state content. the court is satisfied with the evidence of the FIA, the 27 channels should be blocked, the local court of Islamabad
The local court of Islamabad has ordered to block 27 well-known YouTube channels on the request of the FIA.
Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah heard the FIA’s request regarding the YouTube channel block.
The court ordered the blocking of 27 YouTube channels including those of journalists Matiullah Jan, Asad Toor, Oriya Maqbool Jan, Siddique Jan.
The court, issuing a 2-page written order, stated that the FIA started an inquiry on June 2 regarding anti-state content. The court is satisfied with the evidence presented by the FIA and can take action according to the law.
The court said in its order that the officer in charge of YouTube is ordered to block 27 YouTube channels.
The court, on the request of an FIA investigation officer, has asked the YouTube company to close 27 YouTube channels, including Matiullah Jan, Asad Toor, Haider Mehdi, Oriya Maqbool, Arzoo Kazmi, Siddique Jan, Imran Riaz Khan, Aftab Iqbal, and Ahmed Noorani. YouTube has sent notices to all the aforementioned channels.
