Arif Wala: Various areas across the city were submerged in sewage water. All the streets of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Colony started presenting a scene of chaos. Nawaz Sharif Park, Noori Park, Government Islamia Shakarganj High School, Gujjar Chowk, Anwar Madina Masjid Wali Gali, Saj Cafe Wali Gali, and other areas were submerged. Residents were extremely worried. Local citizen Muhammad Adnan said that
In other neighborhoods of the city too, due to the blockage of sewer lines, streets and neighborhoods started presenting a scene of ponds. Sewage water in Faisal Town was accumulated in the form of a pond along Pakpattan Road. The infrastructure in the city was badly destroyed, while the Clean Punjab teams say that the sewage system does not come under our jurisdiction. Both Clean Punjab and Municipal Committee staff refuse to clean the sewer lines. Due to the blockage of the sewer lines, stench started rising in different areas of the city. There is a fear of mosquito breeding and spread of diseases due to the bad smell. Appeal to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Commissioner Sahiwal and Assistant Commissioner Arifwala to open the sewer lines immediately.
