Örebro/Sweden: Police and emergency services personnel are at the scene after a shooting near a mosque in the city of Örebro

A shooting took place near a mosque during Friday prayers in the Swedish city of Örebro as worshippers were leaving.

At least 3 people were seriously injured in the shooting at the mosque and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital.

Eyewitnesses told the media that one of the injured died on arrival at the hospital, while the condition of the other two is also critical.

However, police say that so far, two people have been confirmed to have been shot and are being provided medical care at the hospital.

At least one person died, and one or more people were injured in the incident. The incident occurred as worshippers were leaving the mosque after Friday prayers.

Police added that the attacker has not yet been arrested, and it is not clear whether he was targeting the mosque or came to kill a specific person.

Police cordoned off the area and began searching for the suspect. Citizens have been urged to stay away from the mosque.

The incident is the latest in a series of Islamophobia and hate crimes against Muslims in Sweden.

It should be noted that in recent years, Sweden has seen an increase in the desecration of the Quran, hate demonstrations outside mosques and hate crimes against Muslims.
