Paris: A French air traffic controller who said ‘Free Palestine’ has been suspended. The incident occurred when an Israeli airline, El Al, plane took off from Paris’s Charles de Gaulle Airport. An El Al airline spokesperson described the phrase as very serious and said that it was unprofessional and inappropriate behavior.

According to the airline, it will continue its flights worldwide under the Israeli flag and ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot responded immediately, saying that an investigation into the incident has been launched. If the facts are proven to be true, it would be a violation of radio communication regulations, which should be limited only to the safety and discipline of flights.

He later confirmed that the recordings were consistent with El Al’s claim, and the controller concerned has been suspended from duty until further notice.

This incident comes at a time when the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza has created a terrible humanitarian crisis.
