Lahore: Langar was organized at Khokhar Palace to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). The annual procession of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal started from Samsani village and passed through different areas before reaching Khokhar Palace, where the participants of the procession and local people were treated to langar.
Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Minister for Sports and Labor Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a guidance and mercy for the entire humanity. The Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) is a perfect example for us, and the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) teach brotherhood, sisterhood and tolerance. He said that the young generation should make the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) a beacon of light, because the celebration of Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) gives a message of unity and love. The provincial minister said that today is also Pakistan Defense Day, and with it, the Eid of lovers has also doubled the fun of today.
MNA and President PML-N Lahore Malik Saiful Mulk Khokhar said that the procession of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him) is an expression of the people’s passion for the love of the Prophet (peace be upon him). He said that the enthusiastic participation of the people in the procession of Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him) is commendable. He further said that the message of Islam is of love, peace and brotherhood, and public service and brotherhood is the tradition of the Khokhar family, while on this day we also pay tribute to the martyrs of our Pakistan Army, due to whose sacrifice of precious lives we are all breathing in free air today.
Malik Afzal Khokhar, Malik Shahbaz Khokhar, Malik Shafi Khokhar, Malik Irfan Shafi and others were present on this occasion.
