Jeddah: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) joint tourist visa, which is being called ‘GCC Grand Tours’, will be introduced on a trial basis by the end of 2025 and will be fully implemented later.

This visa will facilitate easy travel between Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman on the lines of the Schengen model.

GCC Secretary-General Jassim Al-Badawi has confirmed that this visa is in the final stages of approval and its applications will soon be made through a digital platform.

While GCC citizens can already travel visa-free in the region, this visa is specifically for millions of foreign residents, making the process of obtaining a visa easier, longer and less expensive than obtaining six separate visas.
