London: Former Test cricketer Wazir Muhammad passed away in Birmingham at the age of 95.
Family sources have confirmed his passing. The eldest brother of the Muhammad brothers, Wazir Muhammad, was one of the oldest cricketers in Pakistan.
Wazir Muhammad played 20 Test matches for Pakistan from 1952 to 1959, in which he scored 801 runs with the help of two centuries and three half-centuries.
Wazir Muhammad had been undergoing treatment in a hospital in Birmingham for the past ten days. Wazir Muhammad was also part of the first Pakistan team to tour India.
Wazir Muhammad was the eldest of the five Muhammad brothers; Hanif Muhammad and Rais Muhammad have already passed away.
