Sahiwal: Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail has said that the youth have immense talent in various sports, which is being made possible with proper guidance and facilities, so that they can get opportunities to participate in national and international competitions. He stressed that, along with education, sports activities should also be promoted so that the mental and physical development of the young generation can be possible in a balanced manner. He said this while talking to the athletes on the occasion of a detailed review of the modern training facilities provided to athletes at Zafar Ali Stadium. Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail also inquired from the athletes present at the stadium about their training and the facilities available. He directed the sports officers to ensure provision of basic facilities in the stadium, including floodlights, clean and cold drinking water, quality washrooms, necessary equipment for training and improved coaching facilities. He appreciated the performance of talented athletes of Sahiwal and especially encouraged the players who won gold and silver medals and urged them to continue their hard work.
