Okara: Seminar titled “Role of Regional Journalists,” organized by the Regional Union of Journalists, Pakistan, for freedom of expression. RUJ Pakistan Senior Vice President Syed Tahir Ahmed Shah participated in the seminar. According to the details, a seminar titled “Role of Regional Journalists” was organized by the Regional Union of Journalists Pakistan on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day. Hundreds of journalists from the Okara district participated in the seminar. The speakers demanded the approval of a 10-point charter of demands of regional journalists, including amending the PECA Act to end government restrictions on freedom of expression, and paid tribute to the martyred journalists.
