Lahore: Actress Meera has appealed to the British government and especially the British High Commissioner in Pakistan to consider her case based on merit and issue her a visa. Her sister is a cancer patient who lives in the UK. She was banned based on a misunderstanding.

Actress Meera appealed to the British High Commission in her video message to consider her request, she has submitted all the required documents to the High Commission in Pakistan and also to London.

She said that her case deteriorated due to misunderstanding and lack of understanding, she was banned from entering the UK on the basis of misunderstanding.

According to Meera, her sister and family are living in the UK. Her sister is a cancer patient. Her sister has a two-year-old daughter who also needs to be taken care of. Therefore, her request should be considered, and a visa should be issued to her.

The actress said that she has been trying to get a British visa for many years. She has applied several times but has not been heard.

Addressing the British High Commissioner, she requested that her application be considered based on merit and a visa should be issued to her.

Before Meera’s recent appeal, in February 2025, the actress’s mother and sister, living in the UK, had said that Meera was banned from entering the UK for speaking incorrect English.

Both had said that Meera was banned from entering the UK for 10 years, which has now ended.

However, now a video of Meera has surfaced, in which she said that despite repeated applications, she is not being given a UK visa. She appealed to the British government to issue her a visa.
