Lahore / Toronto :Former members of PSA & SPSA – the brotherhood that later gave birth to the Punjab Lok Raaj Party (PLRP) – organised two simultaneous gatherings: one in Lahore (Model Town) and another in Toronto (Canada). PLRP now carries forward its mission to safeguard the rights of Punjab and Punjabis.
In Lahore, a “Ji Aayan Noun” Dinner honoured Engr. Muhammad Imran Zahir (ex‑NED, now Saudi Arabia). Dr. Idrees Rana presided in place of ASC Raja Imran Aziz (who could not attend). Special guests: Dr. Kaleem Ullah Saqi (ex‑PSA‑SMC) and Engr. Shah Nawaz (PSA‑NED). PLRP Vice Chairman Mian Amjad Ch. (ex‑S‑PSA Chairman) attended with his son Muhammad Ali. PLRP General Secretary & International Coordinator Engr. Ejaz Ahmed Zia (Wah Cantt) coordinated. Chairman PLRP Engr. Ilyas Ghumman sent greetings.
Birthday felicitations to Engr. Mukhtar Ahmad (ex‑President DUET Karachi).
Attendees included: Dr. Sohail (SMC), Dr. Tahir (Liaquat Medical College, Jamshoro), and engineers: Sohail Anjum Ch. (Ex‑President DCET), Tahir Ch., Faiz Ahmad Chatha (Ex‑President DCET & Ex‑Chairman PSA Central), Nisar Anjum, Zahid Mahmood, Tasawar Nazir, Rashid Javed Chughtai, Muhammad Gulzar, Tariq Latif, Javed Akram Goraya (Ex‑PSA Leader), Ejaz Ahmad Sandhu (Karachi University), and Maqbool Ch. (Ex‑Chairman Central PSA). Local coordinators: Engr. Sohail Anjum Ch. & Engr. Rashid Javed Chughtai.
Simultaneously in Toronto, a gathering by Engr. Amer Ch, Javed Choudhary, Akram, Engr. Ashraf and Muhammad Saeed Arain expressed full support for Punjabi unity now and onwardly.
