London: Since the failure of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the local elections, 57 MPs have demanded his resignation, while 3 MPs have left their seats.

The resigned MPs have also demanded a vote of confidence from Prime Minister Keir Starmer and suggested giving a chance to the new leadership.

MP Naushaba Khan, elected on the ticket of the ruling party Labour Party, resigned from the post of Parliamentary Private Secretary of the Cabinet Office, saying that she always prioritized the interests of the people of her constituency, which is why she took this difficult decision.
She added in her statement that I call for new leadership to restore public trust and deliver the better future that the British people voted for.
Earlier, the parliamentary assistant to the health minister, Joy Morris, has also resigned. She also demanded that the prime minister give a clear timetable for his immediate resignation so that new leadership can restore public trust.

At the same time, the assistant to the environment minister, Tom Rutland, also resigned, saying that he no longer has confidence in Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s leadership, especially in his failure to confront the emerging opposition party Reform UK.

Sally Jameson, parliamentary assistant to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, has also called for Prime Minister Keir Starmer to give a timeline for his resignation.

There has been no official response from Prime Minister Starmer or his office to these resignations.
