Dabowali: According to Hindustan Times, firing has been carried out on the statue of famous singer Sidhu Moosewala in Sawant Kheda village of Dabowali district.
After the incident, the singer’s mother, Charan Kaur, released an emotional message on Instagram, expressing her grief and shock.
In an Instagram post made in Punjabi, Charan Kaur called the incident an attack on her son’s monument and a wound to her soul. She wrote, “My son’s enemies are not letting him rest even after his death.”
It may be recalled that Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by gangsters in 2022.
Charan Kaur further wrote, “My son was the voice of the people’s rights, and the attempt to silence him continues even after his death.”
He said that the memory of Sidhu Moose Wala will never be erased because he was not just a person but a movement that will live forever.
“I want to tell everyone that one day the criminals will meet their end. Our silence is not our defeat.”
The statue was installed last year by Jan Naik Janata Party (JJP) state president Digvijay Chautala in Sawantkheda village. A few days ago, unidentified persons opened fire on it at night, partially destroying the statue.
According to Press Trust of India, on July 29, a video was sent to Digvijay Chautala from a foreign number, showing him firing at the statue. The message conveyed through this video was that after Sidhu Moose Wala, it is now the turn of his sympathizers. After this incident, a case was registered at the Dabowali police station in Sirsa district.
