Standed outside the gate of PTV for three years, security guards even pushed him
He had fallen in love with a girl in Rohri; she was rich, and I did not pursue the matter further

London: Famous singer Arshad Mahmood has revealed that for three years, he used to stand outside the gate of Pakistan Television (PTV) every day to get a chance to act and sing, and the security guards even pushed him away when they got tired of him.
Arshad Mahmood said that he belongs to Rohri, a small city in Sindh, but now he has moved to the provincial capital (Karachi).
According to him, he had a government job before taking up singing and retired from government service in 2016.
He said that he had a passion for singing from the beginning, and in the pursuit of this passion, he used to stand outside the gate of PTV Karachi Center every day, so that he could meet a producer or director and get a chance to act.
He said that the security guards saw him outside the gate every day and even pushed him, but he came back the next day.
According to Arshad Mahmood, the next day, fortunately, Program Manager Abdul Karim Baloch saw him outside the gate and, after asking him how he was, asked him to come inside, and he gave him his first chance.
In response to a question, he said that he got fame with the song ‘Dekha Jo Chehra Tera’, thanks to which he became a star, and till today, he is earning a living because of this song.
He said that he sang the said song in 1995, while the next year another song of his, ‘Hoske To Mera Ek Kam Karo’ was also successful, and he reached the heights of fame.
In response to a question, he admitted that during his student days, when he was a student in the eighth grade, he had fallen in love with a girl in Rohri, but because he was rich, he did not pursue the matter further.
