London: Pakistani woman and 3 children die in building fire, one arrested

London: A Pakistani-origin woman and her three children died in a house fire in Brent, London. Police have arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

The incident took place at 1:20 am on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday in Tilt Close, Stonebridge. According to the fire brigade, when the team reached the scene, the 43-year-old woman, her 15-year-old daughter, and her 8-year-old and 4-year-old sons were found dead.

The fire was so intense that two three-story houses were completely burned to ashes. Police said that the deceased woman was the mother of the three children.

The fire brigade took another 70-year-old woman and a teenage girl to hospital with injuries, but further details about their condition were not available.

According to a report from the London Fire Brigade, firefighters rescued a woman and a child from the second floor of the house, but they also could not be saved and were confirmed dead at the scene.

Police and the fire brigade are conducting a full investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the fire. Superintendent Steve Allen said: “This is a very tragic tragedy, and our sympathies are with the affected family.”
