Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government takes important step towards establishing welfare state, officially launches Sahara card for orphans and widows, Rs 5000 will be given monthly

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken an important step towards establishing a welfare state and has officially launched a bright future for orphans and a Sahara card for widows.

According to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s House, the implementation of the program announced by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur for the support of orphans and widows has been officially launched, and Roshan Mustaqbal Card and Sahara Card have been officially launched.

In this regard, a ceremony was held to launch the Roshan Mustaqbal Card for orphans and the Sahara Card for widows. During the ceremony, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur distributed Roshan Mustaqbal among orphans and Sahara cards among widows.
Addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur said that through the Roshan Mustaqbal Card, orphans aged 5 to 16 will be given Rs 5,000 per month. Initially, nine thousand orphans will benefit from the Roshan Mustaqbal Card.
He said that under the “Sahara Card”, widows aged 45 and above will also be given Rs 5,000 per month. Currently, 15,000 widows will benefit from the Sahara Card. Orphans and widows will receive regular financial assistance through the cards until the fifth of every month.
The Chief Minister said that the payment of Rs 5,000 per month to the deserving people through the cards will start this month. Given the arrival of Eid-ul-Adha, the aid amount for May and June, i.e. Rs 10,000 each, will be given together.
The selection of beneficiaries for the provision of the Roshan Mustaqbal Card and Sahara Card has been done cleanly and transparently. The scope of these programs will be expanded to assist more beneficiaries. Registration of more beneficiaries will be started in July this year.
The Chief Minister further said that the current provincial government is implementing the vision of the founding chairman of the welfare state. I pay tribute to the team of the Social Welfare Department for the implementation of these programs. Justice, merit and equality are the basic characteristics of the State of Madinah. The patronage of the weaker sections of society is the first responsibility of any state. We are committed to establishing the model of the State of Madinah in the province. We will show the people the face of the state that a state should have.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur said that data on more weak and needy people is being collected in the province. This is the beginning. The scope of programs to support the weak and needy sections will be further expanded. Electric wheelchairs are being provided to disabled people and disabled students who earn their livelihood.
He said that the scope of the health card has been expanded to include expensive treatments like implants and transplants. Now bone marrow, kidney and liver transplants are completely free in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The dowry fund has been increased from Rs 20,000 to Rs 200,000. This year, four thousand girls were married with dowry funds.
The Chief Minister further said that we will spend the public’s money on the public. We will fulfill this responsibility by becoming a trustee. We have generated additional income of billions of rupees without imposing any new tax. This money was present in the system which was disappearing in the previous system.
He said that to become a self-reliant and independent nation, we have to increase our resources. An indebted nation can neither be independent nor self-reliant. We have to become a nation whose dream was seen by our ancestors and for which our forefathers had made sacrifices.
