Peshawar: Case registered for setting fire to a camp set up for Imran Khan’s release

Peshawar: A case has been registered at the East Police Station for the incident of setting fire to the camp set up for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.

The case was registered on the complaint of Engineer Muhammad Arif against unknown miscreants who allegedly set fire to the camp and reduced valuables to a pile of ashes.

According to the petitioner, he received information through a phone call that unknown persons had set fire to the PTI camp. Later, videos of the incident went viral.

According to the text of the FIR, this act of setting fire to the camp was done on the instructions of PPP Provincial President Muhammad Ali Bacha and the General Secretary.

The FIR text alleges that Malik Azmat, Ziaullah Afridi, Humayun Khan, Zulqarnain, Ehsan and others are seen in the video setting the camp on fire. The miscreants are also seen setting PTI flags on fire.

According to the petitioner, the valuables in the camp were completely burnt and the incident has spread panic in the area. The police have registered a case and started an investigation, while steps are being taken to identify and arrest the accused with the help of the videos.
