Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has become the party’s Patron-in-Chief.
Chairman PTI Barrister Gauhar Khan, while talking to the media after meeting Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, said that the founder has said that he will be the PTI’s Patron-in-Chief from today.
He said that people spreading rumors are talking about removing me from the chairmanship, Imran Khan is the Patron-in-Chief and I will remain the party chairman, however, all decisions will be taken by the founder PTI as they used to do before, in case of not being the party chairman, everyone knows what the consequences will be.
According to Barrister Gohar, Imran Khan said that all doors have been closed for me, and there is no other way but to protest, instead of giving a call from Islamabad, there will be a protest across the country, which I will lead myself.
The PTI Chairman said that the responsibility for the protest was always given to Ali Amin Gandapur, but now it will not be like this, all instructions regarding the protest movement will be given to Omar Ayub and different people will be given different responsibilities.
He said that the founder has not given any timeframe for the protest yet, he will give it himself, while he has not expressed any distrust in the party leadership, Imran Khan knows that people have made a lot of sacrifices.
