A grand Eid Milan Party was organized at Naulakha Presbyterian Church of Pakistan in Lahore to promote interfaith harmony, in which religious leaders, scholars, social figures and government representatives belonging to different religions and sects participated in large numbers. The event was hosted by Reverend Dr. Majeed Abel, while the special guest was Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora. The event aimed to promote social harmony, brotherhood and interfaith dialogue. All the participants sat together at the Eid Milan party and shared the joys of Eid, which was a beautiful example of unity, togetherness and religious harmony. Slogans were raised at the event, especially on the success of the successful Operation Banyan Marsus of the Pakistan Army. Reverend Dr. Majeed Abel, while welcoming the participants, said that the Naulakha Presbyterian Church of Pakistan has always been giving a message of love, tolerance and mutual respect among different religions. Together we all have to build a society where there is no discrimination on the basis of color, race or religion. Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora, while addressing the event, said that interfaith harmony is at the top of the priorities of the Punjab government. We want people of every religion to feel safe and respected. The services of the Naulakha Presbyterian Church, especially the efforts made for interfaith harmony, are commendable. Such initiatives play a key role in making Pakistan a cradle of peace and love. Chairman Kul Maslak Board Maulana Asim Makhdoom, while expressing his views, paid tribute to the custom of celebrating every festival at the Naulakha Presbyterian Church and appreciated the efforts of Dr. Majeed Abel.
Other speakers at the event, including Javed William (Head of Faces of Pakistan), Mufti Ashiq Hussain, Ramzan Sialvi (Khatib Data Darbar), Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaquat Baloch, Professor Syed Mahmood Ghaznavi, Bishop Singh Bedi and others, also expressed their views. The speakers emphasized the need for religious tolerance, harmony and mutual respect paid tribute to the services of Reverend Dr. Majeed Abel and reiterated the resolve that everyone will continue to play their role together for the establishment of a peaceful, united and tolerant society.
At the end of the event, special prayers were offered for peace, development, prosperity and interfaith harmony in Pakistan.
