Jerusalem: The Israeli army has claimed that in retaliation for Israeli attacks, Iran has attacked Israel with 100 drones, which were disabled before they reached their target.

Israeli army spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defren said that Iran sent 100 UAVs towards Israel, which were disabled.

Brigadier General Effie Defren added that the Iranian army’s chief of staff, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards and the head of Iran’s emergency command were killed in last night’s attacks.

A state of emergency has been declared in Israel given a possible retaliation by Iran.

Israel carried out airstrikes against Iran late last night, targeting Iran’s nuclear program and dozens of other military targets.

British media reported, citing Iranian state television, that two senior nuclear scientists were killed in Israeli air strikes and have been identified.

According to the report, one of the dead is Dr. Fereydoun Abbasi, who was the former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), which is responsible for Iran’s nuclear facilities.

It should be remembered that Fereydoun Abbasi was also assassinated on a street in Tehran in 2010, in which he survived.

The other scientist killed is Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, who held the position of president of the Islamic Azad University in Tehran.
