Sahiwal: The workshop organized by Solid Waste Management Company was inaugurated by Shoaib Iqbal Syed, Commissioner Sahiwal. In his address, he highlighted the steps taken for ongoing environmental improvement in the Sahiwal Division and stressed the need for an effective, integrated and sustainable solid waste management system. A detailed report on the current situation and changes was presented to the workshop participants, emphasizing that without community involvement and an effective system, a system of sustainable improvement and development cannot be possible. Speaking, Urban Unit Expert Asif Iqbal presented a detailed strategic framework regarding how the company will work in Sahiwal. While explaining the framework, Asif Iqbal explained the vision, goals and key points of the company in detail to the participants and answered their questions.
