Peshawar: Thanks to the personal interest of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed in police welfare, while quarterly meetings of the Welfare Committees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have started being held weekly, scholarships are also being given continuously to the children of police officers and youths who have demonstrated excellent performance. Continuing the same trend, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah and Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed yesterday awarded Ahmed Arsalan, son of retired SSP Coordination Peshawar Police Officer Waseem Ahmed Khalil, with the Inspector General Merit Certificate.
Under the Welfare Rules, children of police officers who pass the federal or provincial competitive examination are eligible for the IGP Merit Certificate and cash.
