General Reporter Daily Dawn + Dawn TV Report
London: After US President Donald Trump announced a highly successful airstrike on Iranian nuclear facilities Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, the details of this operation have also come to light.
According to the US news agency “Fox News”, the US used six bunker buster bombs to attack Iran’s most heavily fortified Fordow. Along with them, 30 Tomahawk cruise missiles were also fired at other nuclear centers.
On the other hand, “CBS News” has revealed that the US had made diplomatic contact with Iran on Saturday, a day before the attack, and made it clear that these attacks were only being carried out to target nuclear facilities and that their aim was not to change the regime in Tehran.
A US official told Reuters that the US also used B-52 bombers in the operation. A US defense official told Al-Arabiya English that US B-2 “stealth bombers” were also involved in the mission, flying over the Pacific Ocean.
Air surveillance records and voice communication data showed that six B-2 aircraft took off from Whitman Air Base in Missouri and headed for the US air base in Guam in the Pacific.
