Delhi: The ban imposed on Pakistani YouTube channels and artists in India was suddenly lifted, after which Indian viewers can once again access Pakistani content.

After the Pahalgam incident, while India had imposed restrictions on Pakistani YouTube channels and social media accounts of actors, the release of films by Pakistani artists including Fawad Khan and Hania Aamir was also stopped. Despite this, Hania Aamir’s film was successfully released worldwide, but could not be released in India.

Now the Indian government has suddenly lifted these restrictions and reopened Pakistani YouTube channels, which Indian viewers are expressing happiness over. Although the Indian viewership of Pakistani dramas decreased during the ban, popular dramas continued to attract Indian viewers.

India has begun easing long-standing restrictions on Pakistani social media accounts, with the accounts of several Pakistani content creators once again becoming available to Indian users.
The development comes after several popular Pakistani creators shared screenshots on social media on July 1, informing them that their accounts were now available again in India.
