London: More than 100 employees of the British broadcasting organization BBC have written a letter to the top leadership, expressing serious concerns over the organization’s biased reporting on Palestine.
The letter alleges that the BBC is broadcasting news in support of the Israeli army and government while ignoring the atrocities committed against the Palestinians.
The letter includes allegations of anti-Palestinian bias, censorship and promoting Israeli propaganda. In particular, the decision not to broadcast the documentary ‘Gaza: Medics Under Fire’ has been strongly criticized.
The letter states that the BBC’s recent reporting does not meet even its own editorial standards and viewers are now clearly feeling the gap between the facts on the ground and the coverage.
The letter has been signed not only by employees of the organization, but also by more than 300 celebrities associated with the media industry, including well-known actors Khalid Abdullah and Miriam Margulies.
All the employees who signed have registered their protest without revealing their names to avoid job risks.
