Eleven Sikh MPs and lords attend Sikh event in London, UK Gurdwara Alliance formally established, representing 200 Gurdwaras

London: Punjab Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora attended the 20th-anniversary celebration of the APPG Group for British Sikhs in the British Parliament.

Speaking on the occasion, he invited all the participants to come to Pakistan and said that there are many holy places for Sikhs in Pakistan, we welcome Sikhs and all kinds of facilities are being provided for them.

Apart from eleven Sikh MPs, MPs and Lords from different parties also attended the ceremony. The formal establishment of the UK Gurdwara Alliance, representing two hundred Gurdwaras, was also announced at the ceremony.

In his address, Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora further said that he was happy to see Sikhs active in British politics. According to the Constitution of Pakistan, all citizens have equal rights and I am proud to be a Pakistani.

He further said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan has also provided free online visa service for Sikh citizens of more than 126 countries, especially the United States, Britain and Canada. We opened Kartarpur and today I also appeal to India to stop the process of stopping those going to Kartarpur due to the recent war.

He further said that large Sikh delegations will come to Pakistan from Britain in September and November and we assure them that they will not have any problem there.

Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz considers minorities as the crown of her head and she is always active for their betterment and care.

On this occasion, Member of Parliament Preet Kaur Gill said that she had listened to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s speech on Kartarpur, her Punjabi is very beautiful and she is very grateful for the respect that Sikhs receive in Pakistan.
