Gujranwala: In Pakistan, humanitarianism has also become religious; distributing biryani pots among the poor, needy, and destitute has become a crime. The police have registered a case and arrested an Ahmadi. How can feeding the poor, needy, and destitute under humanitarianism be prohibited? May such growing extremism not drown us all. May there come a time when we do not even give water to a dying person. Will we now have to show our faith first for humanitarianism? Has Pakistan become a hostage to extremists? Will we now have to take permission from them to help a poor person? What crime is it to distribute food among the poor, needy, and destitute? By doing this, we are exploiting deserving people. Exploitation of the poor is strictly prohibited in Islam. We should all be aware.
