Senate Election: Bidding begins in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as usual

Peshawar: Bidding has begun in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Senate election. Some members of the ruling party have revealed that some opposition candidates in the Senate election have offered money to get votes, on which Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has sought a report from the members of the assembly.

The Tehreek-e-Insaf has called a meeting of its parliamentary party in Lahore on Saturday to decide on a course of action regarding the protest on August 5.

The PTI parliamentary party meeting was held at the Chief Minister House, Peshawar, last week, which was attended by members of the assembly. A dinner was also hosted in honor of the members of the assembly by the Chief Minister.

Regarding the meeting, PTI sources said that the meeting decided on a course of action regarding the Senate elections and the protest on August 5. In the meeting, the members expressed reservations regarding the protest, saying that every time the workers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are used as fuel in the protest, this time Punjab and Islamabad should also come out.

According to sources, PTI members of the assembly from all over Pakistan have been summoned to Lahore on Saturday regarding the course of action for the protest.

Sources have also said that some members of the assembly revealed that some opposition candidates are contacting them for votes and money is also being offered, on which the Chief Minister took notice and directed the members to keep them informed in this regard.

In this regard, PTI spokesperson Malik Adeel said that consultations were held regarding the protest in the parliamentary party meeting. In the meeting, the members were asked whether money is being offered in the Senate elections. The Chief Minister has directed that they be kept informed regarding the Senate elections.

Regarding the protest, he said that no decision has been made in this regard yet, the course of action will be decided in the meeting to be held in Lahore, and the orders given by the leadership will be followed.
