Rawalpindi: Opposition leader Omar Ayub’s bail rejected in 14 cases of November 26 protests, ordered to be arrested and produced

Rawalpindi: The special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has rejected the bail of the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, in 14 cases of the November 26, 2024, protests.

The court has ordered the arrest and production of the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The court rejected the bail due to the absence of the accused and the defense lawyer.

On Tuesday, ATC Rawalpindi Judge Amjad Ali Shah heard the bail application. During this, the accused and his lawyer were absent. The learned judge expressed his anger and issued a directive to arrest and produce Omar Ayub, rejecting the bail of the accused Omar Ayub in 14 cases. Cases have been registered against opposition leader Omar Ayub for allegedly participating in violent protests in Rawalpindi and Attock on November 24 and 26, 2024.
