Sahiwal: Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail made a surprise visit to Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, conducted a detailed inspection of the general emergency, blood bank, surgical emergency, medical emergency, orthopedic ward and medicine store.
He also met the patients and took information about the provision of free medicines. He also obtained information from the relatives of the patients about the medical facilities, availability of medicines and the attitude of the staff.
Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail said that the provision of free medicines to every patient coming to the hospital should be ensured in every case, and directed the hospital administration. The Punjab government is focused on providing better treatment facilities to patients. No laxity or negligence will be tolerated in the provision of free medicines. The Commissioner also directed the staff to treat patients with good manners and further improve the standard of cleanliness of the hospital.
