A striking example of the deterioration of democracy in Pakistan: ANP wins toss against PTIP, Shahida Bibi elected as KP Assembly member

The number of ANP seats in the provincial assembly has increased to 4 and PTIP to 3

Peshawar: ANP won the toss on the reserved seat for women in ANP and PTIP, female candidate Shahida Bibi was elected as a KP Assembly member.

The Election Commission had decided to hold a toss regarding the allocation of reserved seats for women between PTIP and Awami National Party in the KP Assembly.

The woman Soumi Falaknaz was the candidate from the Tehreek-e-Insaf parliamentarian, while Shahida Bibi was the member from the Awami National Party.

When the toss was held, the victory went to ANP, after which the number of ANP seats in the provincial assembly became 4.

In the provincial assembly, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has 18 seats, PML-N has 17, PPP has 10, ANP has 4 and PTIP has 3 seats.
