Washington: US President Donald Trump has threatened to sue The Wall Street Journal, a well-known newspaper.
The controversy has arisen over an alleged 2003 letter written to Jeffrey Epstein on his birthday.
The newspaper reported that the letter contained a sketch of a naked woman, on which Trump allegedly signed “Donald” below the woman’s waist, which was considered an inappropriate act.
Trump strongly denied the report, saying: “This is not my letter, it is fake. I do not draw pictures of women. This is not my language, not my words.”
President Trump wrote on his social media platform, “Truth Social,” that he had already told the newspaper that the news was false, but it was still published.
He said, “We will soon sue the Wall Street Journal, News Corporation, and Rupert Murdoch.”
Trump is currently under fire over the Epstein scandal. Critics claim that his administration tried to protect influential figures in the Epstein case. Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a New York jail in 2019, and authorities have ruled it a suicide.
