Peshawar: Another practical example of the commitment of the Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, to public service came to light when a disabled person reached the Directorate of Social Welfare, Peshawar, to meet him. The said person was completely unable to walk and sit. Seeing this situation, the provincial minister himself came out of the building and listened to the problems of the disabled person with great love and sincerity. Syed Qasim Ali Shah immediately issued immediate orders to the concerned officers so that all the problems of the disabled citizen could be solved and the difficulties faced by him could be overcome. He said: “My doors are open to every needy person, especially those who are most in need of support and cooperation in the society. It is our religious, moral and constitutional responsibility to provide a dignified life to the disabled.” Syed Qasim Ali Shah clarified that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, is taking steps on a priority basis for the welfare of the disabled, orphans, senior citizens and the poor. He reiterated the commitment that the Social Welfare Department is moving forward with the vision of providing services to the doorsteps of the people and this chain will expand further.
