Zartaj Gul’s position as parliamentary leader and Ahmed Chatha’s position as deputy parliamentary leader have also been vacant

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has suffered a major setback in the National Assembly, where three important positions have been withdrawn from the party.
According to Dawn sources, Omar Ayub has been removed from the post of Opposition Leader in the National Assembly; similarly, the posts of Zartaj Gul’s parliamentary leader and Ahmed Chatha’s deputy parliamentary leader have also become vacant.
In addition, the chamber of the opposition leader has also been withdrawn from the PTI.
The National Assembly Secretariat has declared the post of Opposition Leader vacant, the chamber of the opposition leader has also been withdrawn from the PTI, and the Speaker of the National Assembly will soon issue a notification for the appointment of a new opposition leader.
According to the secretary, 3 important positions in the National Assembly were withdrawn from PTI, Omar Ayub was relieved of the position of opposition leader in the National Assembly, Zartaj Gul’s parliamentary leader and Ahmed Chatha’s deputy parliamentary leader positions were also declared vacant.
According to the notification issued by the secretariat, Omar Ayub was also delisted from the Public Accounts Committee and Finance Committee in the National Assembly, and the standing committee memberships of 7 ineligible PTI members were also withdrawn.
The notification states that the membership of 15 standing committees has also been withdrawn from 7 PTI members of the assembly. Sahibzada Hamid Raza’s standing committee chairmanship of human rights was terminated, Zartaj Gul lost the standing committee membership of human rights, while the chairmanship of the standing committee of railways was withdrawn from Rai Hassan Nawaz.
It should be noted that the Anti-Terrorism Court had sentenced several leaders, including Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, after which the Election Commission of Pakistan had declared them disqualified.
